The Coriolis Mass Flow Meter has gained wide acceptance as a device capable of both high accuracy and reliability. Measuring in mass instead of volume eliminates the need to correct for the effects of pressure and temperature on the product. Combine this with the ability to measure density, and you have one the most versatile meters on the market.
The meter can be used on a number of products ranging from asphalt to LPG. This technology does not require flow conditioning or a high level of filtration. It can be heat traced and insulated in applications where the product needs an elevated temperature to remain in a liquid state. Recent transmitter advances allow the meter to be used to measure two phase flow when product characteristics are constant. This is important when offloading crude oil from trucks or rail cars when large volumes of water can be present at the start of the transfer.
The Coriolis Mass Flow Meter is both accurate and dependable. Its quickly growing installed base, combined with advances in associated electronics, insure that it will lead measurement innovation for decades to come.
