Be Safe, Be Smart, Be Sure

The Liquid Meter Company Mercaptan Injection System insures you have an extremely reliable process in place. Troublesome pneumatic pumps and PD meters are replaced with reliable electric pumps and mass flow meters. The mercaptan meter utilizes Smart Meter Verification to monitor its own performance. It also verifys the mercaptan density to ensure it is on spec without entrained air, nitrogen or water diluting its strength.

No Room for Error

In systems where the components are hard plumbed in place, the potential for misdirected flow increases significantly. Mercaptan can be accidentally diverted back to storage or off to flare. With the LIMECO Mercaptan Injection System, the secondary tubing is replaced by quick connects and a removable flex hose. When system maintenance or proving is needed, a temporary connection is made. When finished, the hose is removed leaving a single path for the mercaptan to follow to the injection point. This provides complete assurance that the mercaptan is not being diverted by an improperly sequenced valve or leaking valve seat.

Checks and Balances

Accurate measurement of the mercaptan is the cornerstone for building a system of checks and balances. The accumulative total from the meter can be compared to the volume used from the mercaptan supply tank. When applicable, these values can also be compared to the cumulative total of the injection points for a three way check on mercaptan consumption. With a properly managed system the need to over-inject is significantly reduced.
